Caring for Your Chair: Simple Maintenance That Adds Years
by Astera Global on 29 Aug 2026

Chairs rarely fail all at once. They loosen, squeak and wear gradually - and nearly all of it is preventable.

Retighten bolts every few months

Normal use works seat and backrest bolts loose over time. A quick pass with the supplied hex key stops wobble becoming a cracked mount.

Clean casters

Hair and dust wrap around caster axles and make rolling stiff. Tip the chair over, pull the debris out, and they roll like new.

Match cleaning to material

PU leather wants a barely damp cloth and nothing else - solvents and alcohol crack the coating. Fabric handles a mild upholstery cleaner. Either way, blot rather than scrub, and never soak the foam.

Watch the gas lift

If the chair slowly sinks under your weight, the gas lift is failing. It is a cheap, replaceable part - contact us rather than replacing the whole chair.
